Executive Function Coaching
Struggling with organization, planning, time management or getting started? Executive function coaching helps students develop practical strategies to manage their workload, stay on track and become more independent.
Helping Students Understand How They Learn Best
I support youth and young adults (typically grade 8 and beyond) with ADHD, learning differences, or executive function challenges — practical coaching that helps students succeed in school and beyond.
How I Can Help
01
Struggling with organization, planning, time management or getting started? Executive function coaching helps students develop practical strategies to manage their workload, stay on track and become more independent.
02
Students with ADHD and other learning differences often know what they need to do but struggle with how to make it happen. Coaching provides individualized strategies that build on strengths while supporting areas of challenge.
03
From managing assignments and studying for tests to breaking down long-term projects, students learn concrete strategies to approach schoolwork more effectively and with greater confidence.
04
Procrastination, avoidance and feeling overwhelmed can make it difficult to get started and follow through. Coaching helps students understand what gets in their way and develop strategies that make tasks feel more manageable.
05
The ultimate goal is independence. Students learn to understand how they learn best, communicate what they need, problem-solve when things go wrong and take greater ownership of their success.
06
Coaching isn't therapy or tutoring. It's about helping students understand the patterns behind their struggles, recognize what may be getting in their way, and develop strategies to move forward. Through reflection and guided problem-solving, I help students build the self-awareness and confidence to make meaningful, lasting change.
Why I Do This Work
Certified Executive Function Coach, Ontario Certified Teacher & Special Education teacher with 15+ years supporting teens and young adults.
Connect on LinkedInI believe coaching should help students become more independent, not more dependent on adults.
Throughout my career in education, I became increasingly interested in the skills students are expected to use every day but are rarely explicitly taught: how to organize themselves, manage their time, get started, plan ahead, regulate emotions, advocate for themselves, and follow through when things feel difficult.
I work with teens and young adults with ADHD and other learning differences, as well as students who may not have a diagnosis but struggle with executive functioning, anxiety, motivation, or feeling overwhelmed by school. Coaching helps them understand how they learn best and build practical strategies for their individual brains.
My approach combines my background as an educator with specialized training in executive function coaching. I hold an M.S.Ed., am an Ontario Certified Teacher with Special Education qualifications, and am a graduate of JST Coaching & Training’s executive function coaching program.
My goal is to help each student better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, develop the skills they need, and feel increasingly confident managing school and life on their own.
